This is “Jazz & Cave Paintings at Lascaux”, an original action painting with acrylic paints on stretched canvas, measuring 30″ × 24″. This piece is fluid, improvisational, intuitive, and owes a great debt to Jackson Pollock.
I am an artist, writer, and pattern designer, living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. My art and design come from a lot of places, while fashion in definitely critical among them, equally as important are geometry and jazz; a sense of balance from Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu; and a kind of idealism that looks for the transcendent in the everyday and finds lasting enjoyment in overlooked or neglected sources of value.
Whereas my action paintings are akin to jazz improv, my De Stijl paintings are analogous to a symphony.
