Fun fun fun in the sun my dears! This red floral Hawaiian dress is so festive and bright, you are certain to be the belle of the luau. 1960s vintage, but is in GREAT condition with very vibrant colors and looks practically new. Sleeveless with a faux-wrap, button closure bodice, slightly dropped empire waist and A-line skirt. Bright red background with orange, pink and blue flowers. Zips up back starting at rear.
Tag reads Fashioned by Hukilau Fashions, Honolulu. No material info; feels like 100% cotton. Machine wash cold. Vintage size 12. Would best fit a modern size 6-8; measurements are as follows (please note bodice vs. skirt measurements in regard to waist measurement):
Total length: 37"
Bodice length: 13"
Skirt length: 24"
Bust: 16", with darting (32" doubled)
Waist: 14.5" (29" doubled)
Hips: 18.5 (39" doubled)
There are a couple of small, light stains on the skirt (see photo 5) that I haven’t tried to remove. Even if they didn’t come out, the dress is so busy that they’re pretty well-hidden. Otherwise, the dress is in pristine condition with no holes or tears.
