I’m Mary Ellen. I live in Bushwick, and this August, I’ll need a new roommate!
My current roomie is moving out of NYC.
It’s a two bedroom, so just you and me. I do have a cat who doesn’t like other cats, but loves people. Dogs and other pets welcome, just not a cat.
The room is $800 + utilities. It has two huuuuuge sunny windows and (get ready) 1 double door closet, 1 shelved closet, 1 double door storage space above double closet, and 1 single door storage above shelved closet.
Seriously. A wall of Closet and Storage.
We also have separate entrances. Neat, huh?
Also, hardwood floors and a full size kitchen and bath-shared.
Near the Central Ave M, the dekalb L, and the B38 & 60 busses.
Grocery, laundry, bike shop, coffee shop, bodega, bars all on the block or within a 5-10 min walk.
I’ll be in Australia this August, so I won’t be here when you move in. I’d love to meet/show the place before I leave this July, but I can also skype and my current roommate can show you the space. I do have a subletter booked for those months-His name is Marc and he is awesome.
I’m a dancer, nanny, hairdresser, video editor, jill of all trades sort. I keep pretty busy, so if you are more a stay at home sort, then I’ll be out of your hair a lot. I do like to be friendly and social sometimes, but certainly need my own space and respect yours. I’d love if you liked cats and wouldn’t mind loving on my cat/letting her in your room sometimes. She’s a social sort.
I’m fairly musical and crafty. I like to cook and share what I make. Occasional dinner happenings occur about once every 3 months.
I have most things in the apartment now, but would really love someone who comes in and contributes to the shared space.
