They are are very smart both in design and practicality.

From DWR: “Our recent introduction of several items that express the depth and culture of modernism in Brazil, is broadened further with the Bienal Stool (2001), available for the first time in the U.S. and only at DWR. Designed by Brazilian designer Fernando Jaeger, these bar-height stools bring a satisfying curve to a wide seat that’s generously padded for lasting comfort. The full-grain leather upholstery has an antiqued vintage look, and the slender-looking steel frame is unexpectedly durable – so much so that the Bienal Stool is suitable for commercial use and has been used in restaurants throughout Brazil. The Bienal Stool was the recipient of the 2002 Brazil Faz Design Award. Made in Brazil.”
