This is original panoramic photograph taken August 18, 1927th when Calvin Coolidge visited the Sioux Nation.
This picture records the first visit of a US President to an American Indian Reservation.
The photograph is framed in a heavy wood frame and protected with UV glass. The image is approximately 34 × 7 inches and the framed dimension is 38x 13.
The photograph is pin sharp (my pictures have lots of glass glare and don’t do the actual image justice), and include wonderful details like a Native American brass band and a Model A cars, a Native American police force, etc. The exact text on the image on the image reads: “Sioux Indians entertain President Coolidge Entertain at Pine Ridge Agency. Photo by Rise Studio – Rapid City S. Dak.”
This is a very special piece of Americana. Happy to show it in person.
