Extremely rare museum quality Edo period Children’s Japanese tea screen in beautiful condition. This was the type of screen that influenced European artists around the turn of the century. I picked up this screen in Nara from a woman who had had it in her family since she was a child. It’s 17.5×9×2 folded up and roughly 56 inches stretched out. The hinges are made of paper, and everything is hand painted. It’s a spectacular piece. Serious inquiries only.
