A rare vintage buddha necklace, signed by Robert Zentall. The pendant is goldtone, with inset white beads. The glue that is holding the beads in has yellowed with age, but is only visible upon close inspection. Please note that one of the photographs looks as thought he gold has rubbed off of the buddha’s face – this is due to my less than perfect photography skills – there is no wear on the buddha’s face and the pendant is in very good condition.
There is little information available regarding this particular piece. Robert Zentall designed jewelry in the 50’s and up to the 80’s. The style of this necklace seems to indicate that it was created in the 60’s, possibly 70’s.
Necklace measures approximately 26" and closes with a circle clasp.
The fine print:
This is a vintage item. Buying vintage items means that you are not only getting a unique piece with character and history but it also means that negative environmental impact is kept at a minimum. Because this piece is vintage, slight signs of age should be expected. I do not feel that this in any way detracts from the piece, but only adds character and beauty.
Necklaces are shown on a mannequin with a neck measuring approximately 12 ¾”.
