I handwove this chainmaille necklace, one ring at a time, from black anodized aluminum rings and shiny silver-colored aluminum rings.
The chainmaille pendant was woven in a variation of Helm Chain, done in a circle to create a flower or medallion shape. The chain is handwoven using Wiggle weave, a loose weave that looks like twisted rope.
This chainmaille necklace is a showstopper and will look beautiful peeking out of the neckline of your favorite gothy black dress!
It closes securely with an oversized, easy-to-work lobster claw clasp. The pendant measures about 1 1/4" across, and the chain measures almost 19 inches long, including the clasp. Please convo me if you would like the chain lengthened or shortened!
Note: Do not use polishing creams or abrasive cloths on this piece, as it can remove color from the rings.
