Nesting wooden eggs with chains, vintage. These eggs are so primitive. The idea is to lay them under the chickens to encourage them to lay eggs. The chain part is for the farmer to not mistaken them for the real ones and that way they stayed in the nest for the second round of egg laying session.
Any how they are made out of wood and a small link chain is attached to each egg. Signs of aging are present, paint peeling, and scuffing too. That what adds to their appeal. Put in a basket and enjoy.
Each measures approx 2.5" H, and 5" in circumference in the middle part.
