A silver rhinestone studded gecko is climbing out of a garden of pale blue, chartreuse, and warm cream colored pearls. Light yellow enamel flower petals, sterling silver and gold metal findings emulate organic matter. An enamel flower with light jade, pink and mauve rhinestones mirror the lizard, providing balance for assemblage. The neck chain is composed of 3 different gold chains, taken apart and put together in a new way.
There is some much to say about this necklace.. So many bits of pieces came together to create it.
All of the components of this necklace have been sought out at the local Chicago thrift, stripped of their original hardware and upcycled into this one of a kind necklace. Filigree disks provide the background for the assemblage for a smooth finish and durable wear.
Assemblage measures 6 × 4″, chain length measures 18" with 5" extendor for longer lenghts.
